Free Fall

Swoop, feather down-float
whisk, twirl
pirouette in
light cream puff swirls

Stop.
weighty, wait.
Feel resistance
tear...
tearing
then plummet

Thump.

Namrata,

Wow! That's been a long time coming, but yeah it's come that post. I'd frankly need to read that poem another half a dozen times I think to get the import of the content, but your poems have 'flashes' about them if you know what I mean... the choice of words, the abruptness (which is an asset, not liability) and shortness of sentence structure etc.

Someone said about Browning (I think)... the man's mind was so rapid and restless that very often language was a poor device in his hands and could never keep with his mind-speed.

Keep at it... I know someone else who also creates magical flashes of poetry, which pricks and punches sharply!

Srini: Thank you for such fulsome praise of such a humble attempt. Gives me courage to keep going.

Namrata,

Don't use significant words; it's nothing. Every poetic attempt is a labour brought to light of the day and as a poet I know something of the attempt that goes behind every word. Keep them coming! goodnight:)

Good knob. But I don't understand / know poetry at all. You should write a prose piece. On...ants. Yes. :-)

Samanth:Yes O wise one! Your command shall be translated into reality very shortly. Ants it is.(Not missing out any additions to that word, are you?!)

Srini: Sigh. Thank you:)
